The 2010 Crime Stoppers Youth Challenge Queensland is proudly partnered by the Brisbane City Council, the Queensland Police Service and the Department of Education and Training.

Brisbane City Council | BCC

Brisbane City Council works with the community to guide the city's future growth and development. BCC is comprised of 26 wards and councillors plus the Lord Mayor. BCC covers 1367km2 and by population is the largest governed by a local council in Australia. BCC is responsible for managing the continuing population growth and providing a range of services for Brisbane residents. BCC provides services to Brisbane through its 12 programs and five business units.

Queensland Police Service | QPS

The Queensland Police Service is the primary law enforcement agency for the state of Queensland. The QPS fulfils this role throughout the state, 24 hours a day, upholding the law and providing assistance to the community where necessary and in times of emergency, disaster and crisis. The functions of the Service include:

  • The preservation of peace and good order in all areas of Queensland
  • The protection of all communities in Queensland
  • The prevention of crime
  • The detection of offenders and bringing of offenders to justice
  • Upholding the law generally and providing policing services in an emergency

Department of Education and Training | DET

The Department of Education and Training is building a clever, skilled and creative Queensland. Our purpose is to engage Queenslanders in lifelong learning through education and training to enrich their lives.

Early Childhood The Office for Early Childhood Education and Care is taking the lead responsibility for children's early development, bringing together responsibility for early education and child care services under one agency.
